About

Keith practices storytelling through pictures, employing narrative drawing and painting techniques alongside contemporary painting concepts. More broadly, this practice and style includes genre painting, history painting, documentary painting, magic realism and disrupted realism.

Keith’s current works are both auto-biographical reportage and response to current events, placing the work within our shared history. Increasingly, the paintings begin as collage, weaving together self generated and found images, changing shape as the painting is built up in successive layers.

Keith studied fine arts in high school at Central Technical School, animation at Max The Mutt Animation School and earned a BFA in Printmaking at OCAD University. Keith has taught drawing, painting and cartooning, and has worked as a studio artist for Pix Ray VFX and Moss and Lam, both located in Toronto.
